Call For Content FAQ's

Are you ready to take the stage at IAUG Converge? This is your chance to share your story, showcase your expertise, and inspire fellow members of the Avaya community. Converge is a customer-led conference, and your voice is at the heart of it. Whether it’s a major project win, a creative workaround, or lessons learned the hard way—we want to feature your real-world experiences front and center.

Don’t miss this opportunity to be part of shaping Converge 2026. Submit your session and help us build a powerful, peer-driven agenda that reflects the innovation and ingenuity of our user community.

The Call for Content deadline has been extended through Tuesday, July 7 at 5:00 PM CT.

What are the deadlines for submissions?

Key Deadlines:

  • Call for Speakers Opens: Wednesday, May 6, 2026
  • Final Submission Deadline: Tuesday, July 7, 2026
  • Speaker Notifications Sent: Late July, 2026

To make your submission stand out, consider the following best practices:

  1. Zero in on 1–2 key product components you want to highlight. Stay focused and specific—clarity is key.
  2. Identify a product gap and explain how your presentation addresses it. Ask yourself: “How will I clearly explain to the audience how to close this gap?”
  3. Set the stage. Provide context so attendees understand the environment, challenges, or background before diving into the solution.
  4. Tell a compelling story. Real-world experiences resonate—take the audience on a journey through your challenges, insights, and outcomes

Each year, we receive more submissions than we can accept. While we welcome returning presenters, our top priority is ensuring that all selected content is relevant, compelling, and educational.

When crafting your submission, aim for content that is well-thought-out, complete, and unique. Tell your story:

  • Have you recently gone through a migration or upgrade?
  • Do you have a compelling case study or lessons learned to share?
  • Can you spark conversation or challenge common thinking?

This is a platform for industry collaboration, so don’t shy away from bold ideas, lively discussions, or fresh perspectives. Unconventional approaches and thoughtful debate are welcome and encouraged.

If you’re a business partner, consider partnering with an customer for your presentation, where applicable. Real-world insights and joint perspectives often resonate more deeply with our audience.

Lastly, please note that due to a more intimate conference footprint this year, we’ll be selecting fewer sessions than in previous years.

Strong, innovative, and clearly articulated submissions will stand out.

Believe it or not, the #1 reason submissions aren’t selected is because they’re incomplete. The session detail section—especially the title and abstract—is the most critical part of your entire submission. It’s your chance to clearly convey the value and relevance of your session to the reviewers.

Sales pitches are also an instant red flag. They’re easy to spot, and we eliminate them quickly from consideration. This event is about education, innovation, and collaboration—not promotion.

We also receive many submissions on similar topics. With a limited number of session slots, we prioritize those that stand out through clarity, completeness, and a fresh perspective. The more thought and detail you put into your submission, the better we can understand your story and assess its value for our audience.

And just a reminder—we’ll be selecting fewer sessions this year due to a more condensed agenda. That’s another reason why it’s especially important to submit a strong, fully developed proposal.

To begin your conference submission, click here. Please note this is a separate website from iaug.org thus your IAUG member information will not work. If you submitted for an event with IAUG before, you should not have to create a new login as we are using the same speaker management platform this year. If you are a new submitter, you will be required to create a new account. Please reach out info@iaug.org with any questions.

When submitting your proposal for IAUG Converge 2026, you’ll have the opportunity to select from a variety of session formats. Each format offers a unique way to engage with attendees and share your expertise:

  • Birds of a Feather – Informal, peer-led discussions around shared interests or challenges, encouraging open dialogue and collaboration.
  • Case Study – A real-world story highlighting a challenge, solution, and outcome—ideal for showcasing lessons learned and best practices.
  • Panel Discussion – A moderated conversation featuring multiple speakers offering diverse perspectives on a common topic.
  • Technical Deep Dive – A highly detailed, in-the-weeds session for attendees looking for advanced technical knowledge.

For IAUG Converge 2026, we’re building a curated agenda around the topics that matter most. Our event footprint is 2.5 days long.

To maximize your chances of sharing your insights, we strongly encourage you to express interest in alternative opportunities when submitting your proposal. These may include:

  • Webinars
  • Blog posts
  • A presentation at a local chapter meeting

These formats provide additional ways to showcase your expertise and engage with the IAUG community—even if your session isn’t selected for the main agenda.

Session details are thoughtfully curated by our Content Committee, who dedicate their time to strategically reviewing and scheduling accepted sessions. Their goal is to ensure that each session is placed where it will resonate most with the conference audience.

The committee works hard to balance topics across tracks, minimizing overlap and avoiding oversaturation—for example, ensuring there aren’t five sessions on use cases scheduled at once, while only one covers migrations and upgrades. They also aim to avoid repeating the same topic within a single track to provide a diverse, well-rounded agenda.

Please note that session logistics—such as date, time, and room assignment—are subject to change as we finalize the schedule. Be sure to check your speaker portal regularly for the most up-to-date session details.
