  • 1.  Polycom VSX 7000 Question

    I couldn't find the exact spot to ask this so I will start here. I have a question about a Polycom VSX 7000 that we use behind our G3r. Seems no matter what I set the parameters on the video unit to, every call is stuck at 64k. I have gone through all the settings and nothing is set at 64k. I have dialed two of our sites, one over a PRI and the other over a point to point T1 and get the same result.
    Sorry if this is the wrong spot for the question but any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.:confused:

    Sounds like you need a firmware upgrade. Polycom codes, especially the vxs-7000 get flaky at some point. What version of software are you running on the polycom? I would check that and call their tech support to see if there are known issues with the firmware version you are running. Firmware upgrades usually do the trick, however it leaves one to desire how solid of a product it is, if you constantly have to do this.

    So.. is this unit registered to the ACM as a client?? if so look at the IP Network Region and codec set.. you can set the maximum bandwidth per connect..
