I always feel confident I will be able to bring back a solid UC/CC strategy for my business. Whether I’m improving Customer Experience, and efficiencies, or looking to learn where the communications industry is headed, there’s always a resource to get my answer. 

 

About Slade Besson

As IAUG Vice President, co-chair on our council committee, chapter leader for our Louisiana Chapter, co-leading our Feature Request Tracker efforts with Avaya, and Director of Telecommunications and Networking in the higher education sector, it seems like Slade does it all. His dedication to not only IAUG, but in providing the best service to his university staff and students sets Slade apart. Slade utilizes all Avaya ENGAGE has to offer when it comes to furthering his success in his career and team goals.

About Jayne Hogle

As a long-time member and volunteer of IAUG, Jayne has contributed to countless efforts within the organization. In her tenure as a volunteer, Jayne has worked diligently to curate the best customer content Avaya ENGAGE has to offer, presented as a speaker at several Avaya ENGAGE conferences, hosted IAUG webinars, and more. While doing all of this incredible work for IAUG, Jayne has led several upgrades to her Avaya solutions in her role as a Unified Communications Director in the Healthcare Sector. Jayne's experience and knowledge are invaluable to IAUG and the communications technology industry!

What drives you to keep coming back to Avaya ENGAGE?

Primarily the education. I’m able to build a foundation for 3-5 years of strategy for my company with what I learn at this conference.

I always leave Avaya ENGAGE with a renewed sense of energy and excitement for what’s to come in the industry and how I can build my strategies to ensure organizational success.

How does Avaya ENGAGE impact your IT strategies for the rest of/the upcoming year?

-      Being able to attend sessions that provide the nuts and bolts needed to fit the technology into my organization is invaluable. Avaya ENGAGE sessions go past the hype of the tech and get into the details.

What sessions for Avaya ENGAGE 2024 are on your “Must Attend” list?

  • AI focused sessions are important to put practical applications of solutions in place at my organization.
  • The Microsoft Teams sessions to understand options for integration and the Microsoft roadmap that will let me see where Avaya is developing that strategy. 

Do you have anything specific you’re looking to learn at Avaya ENGAGE this year?

I always feel confident I will be able to bring back a solid UC/CC strategy for my business. Whether I’m improving Customer Experience, and efficiencies, or looking to learn where the communications industry is headed, there’s always a resource to get my answer. 

 

What drives you to keep coming back to Avaya ENGAGE?

Networking. Avaya Engage is about learning and staying up to date with technology/voice trends, but it is the connections that matter the most. That is why the title of the conference ENGAGE is so fitting. 

What do you come to Avaya ENGAGE hoping to learn about?

I come to learn about everything. New programs/services, quick tips, roadmaps; integrations. The information is up to date and very impactful for work/business life.

What sessions for Avaya ENGAGE 2024 are on your “Must Attend” list?

SMS/MMS Session with Workplace. This can be something that is outside of the box that we have not tried and would love to be able to offer to our campus community.  Also, integrations with other collaborative tools that can work, integrations.

What is one answer about your IT/Avaya products that you are hoping to get answers on this year? 

Roadmaps of where Avaya is going in the future and any integrations with other collaboration services.  I also like to see the current products, if there are going to be any enhancements, for example Avaya Spaces.

About Anna DiFilippo

Anna is a new addition to the IAUG Board of Directors and long time IAUG Member and Volunteer. Anna's dedication to IAUG shines in the leadership of her local chapter in Toronto, Canada. Anna has also recently become a co-chair of the Unified Communications Council. Anna has gained great insight into the world of Communication Technology in her many years in the industry and utilizes Avaya ENGAGE to drive her strategies for the year.
